HR Generalist

Location: Salt Lake City, UT (in office work required with hybrid flexibility after 6 months)

Full benefits package including:

  • Starting $50,000 – $60,000 (depending on experience)

Job Summary:

The HR Generalist will be responsible for facilitating the delivery of day-to-day HR services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. The HR Generalist will act as the main point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR-related topics and handle employee relations in a professional and confidential manner. As an HR Generalist you will also be responsible for maintaining accurate, confidential up-to date employee records in all internal systems.

Qualifications and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business administration
  • Minimum 3-5 years of HR experience
  • HRCI or SHRM Certification highly desired
  • Advanced knowledge of federal and state employment-related laws and regulations
  • Payroll experience a plus
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong forward thinking-mentality
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to solve problems independently, and make decisions promptly
  • Extreme attention to details and pride in your work
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
  • Proficiency in writing with the ability to communicate ideas clearly, accurately, and concisely
  • Ability to document, track and maintain data accurately and confidentially
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and similar software
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct new hire orientations, as well as onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to date personnel records that meet the needs of the facility and comply with current employment practices
  • Assist with payroll as needed
  • Conduct employee background checks and drug screens, in accordance with our facility’s established policies and procedures
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory employee training
  • Administers and executes human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance management, productivity, and employee recognition
  • Maintains company compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Reviews and updates internal policies and procedures to maintain compliance with current laws and regulations
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
