Proposal Coordinator & Editor

Work Hours: Monday- Friday (40 hrs/wk) (non-traditional hours will be required)

 

Paid Holidays: 11 Paid Federal Holidays

 

Full Benefits Package Available. Salary range: $45,000 – $55,000- based on experience and qualifications.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Clearance:

  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

 

Experience:

One year experience working as an administrative assistant, legal assistant, proofreader, or similar role. Experience in Government contracts, or related field is desired, but not required.

  • Experience with Adobe Pro, and Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams is also required.

 

Skills:

  • Knowledge of Federal Government solicitations a plus
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Ability to review Microsoft documents to ensure clarity and proper grammar for a polished nature of final documents
  • Effective and efficient written and verbal communication skills and able to communicate with all levels of staff (administrative to CEOs)
  • Ability to edit documents efficiently
  • Ability to learn to read and understand RFP, RFI, RFQ, and other types of government requests
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently, promptly, and efficiently with ease and professionalism
  • Ability to maintain a sense of calmness under strenuous and simultaneous deadlines
  • Ability to take direction from more than one person and prioritize tasks

 

TYPE OF WORK

The duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare communications such as memos, emails, reports, and other correspondence
  • Create and maintain electronic filing systems (SharePoint, One Drive, and other methods)
  • Editing documents for content and style
  • Provide assistance to proposal manager from “cradle to grave” on government responses (This will require working outside of usual business hours, including weekends in order to get a proposal submitted on time.)
  • Understand and implement a sense of urgency to accomplish internal/external customer satisfaction
  • Must have the ability to maintain a good working relationship with co-workers, and work well in a team environment
  • Work closely with all team members, including GCI business partners
