Subcontract Administrator

 

Description:

GCI is seeking a Subcontracts Administrator to join our contracts team. This individual would assist the contracts team in the administration and oversight of contractual obligations and compliance. They will administer and extend standard agreements in accordance with company policies and will work closely with GCI’s executive team as well as executives from our business partners and government customers.

Experience & Education:

 

  • BS/BA required or equivalent experience of 4 years preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Effective and efficient communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Customer Service oriented/driven
  • Understanding of government contract documents, a plus, must have the ability to learn to read and understand government contract documents, teaming agreements, NDAs, and other contractual documents
  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
  • Government Contracting experience and knowledge of FAR or DFAR requirements preferred
  • Ability to maintain a sense of calmness under strenuous and simultaneous deadlines

 

 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Prepare communications such as memos, emails, reports, and other correspondence
  • Create and maintain electronic filing systems (SharePoint, One Drive, and other methods)
  • Assist in preparation and review of subcontract documents and amendments, including inclusion of flow down requirements from the prime contract
  • Assists when instructed in the planning, staffing, work-hour calculations, budgeting and procedures preparation
  • Prepares and maintains correspondence to and from subcontractors
  • Prepares and organizes assigned meetings and issues meeting minutes
  • Ability to act with integrity, honesty, and professionalism in daily interactions/correspondence with GCI staff, Clients, Peers, Subcontractors, Suppliers, and Government officials
  • Understand and implement a sense of urgency to accomplish internal/external customer satisfaction
  • Must have the ability to maintain a good working relationship with co-workers, and work well in a team environment
