GCI is pleased to announce a new line of business: Satellite Communications (SATCOM). Leading this effort is Wayne Fleetwood, based out of the Colorado Springs area. Wayne joins GCI with 35 years’ experience in the design, development, analysis, testing, measuring and management of facilities systems, operations, engineering and maintenance.  Wayne’s most recent programs have been in support of Global Hawk, Predator and Reaper Unmanned Ariel Systems (UAS) and the Air Force Wideband Enterprise Terminal program (AFWET), to include ground based satellite antennas and radome installations in support of the Modernization Enterprise Terminal (MET).

GCI now has the capability to repair, modify and remove ground based SATCOM fixed terminals that support the Defense Satellite Communications System, (DSCS), Global Hawk, Predator and Reaper Unmanned Ariel Systems (UAS).  Tasking includes, but is not limited to, antenna corrosion control and painting, antenna and ancillary equipment removal, radome removal and re-installation, and logistics support for the Air Force Wideband Enterprise Terminal (AFWET) office at Hanscom AFB, MA.  The efforts will include CONUS and OCONUS locations.
