Sandeep Sharma, president and CEO of Global Consulting International Inc. (GCI), was honored by ESGR, a Department of Defense organization established in 1972 and designed to promote cooperation and understanding between Reserve Component Service members and their civilian employers.
ESGR, or Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, is comprised of 4,800 dedicated and trained volunteers and staff located across the country and in the territories. Volunteers and staff are a neutral and free resource designed to develop and promote employer support for Guard and Reserve service. The ESGR assists by advocating relevant initiatives, recognizing outstanding support, and increasing awareness of applicable laws. The award given to Sandeep Sharma is called the “Patriot Award.” It states:

Presenting the plaque to Mr. Sharma were Mathew P. Miller, a Guardsman who works for GCI providing software integration support on the F-16 Program at Hill AFB, and Craig E. Cooper, Utah’s Outreach Representative for ESGR.
